HS Therapy Dog - Hagrid

Hagrid

Meet Hagrid -- the High School's therapy dog! High School Assistant Principal Ms. Kaitlyn Grzywinski-Selfridge is the owner and official handler of this adorable English Bulldog.

The simple act of petting a dog has been shown to lower blood pressure and heart rate, according to studies. The goal of having a therapy dog is to help outcomes for all students and to build an environment where kids want to learn and grow. Hagrid works with students daily to provide comfort, build self-esteem and help them develop a stronger sense of connection to the school.

We are excited to have Hagrid at the High School, and we look forward to the ways his presence will continue to benefit our students and staff!
