Welcome to the 2026-27 School Year!
We are delighted to welcome our students, families, faculty, and staff to a new school year at Highlands High School!
To our returning students, welcome back! Your energy, enthusiasm, and contributions make Highlands High School a special place to learn and grow. As we begin a new year, we encourage you to challenge yourself, take advantage of new opportunities, and make the most of your high school experience.
To our new students and families, welcome to the Highlands family! We are excited to have you join our school community. Each of you brings unique talents, experiences, and perspectives, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact you will make at Highlands High School.
To our dedicated teachers, support staff, and faculty, thank you for the passion, care, and commitment you bring to our students every day. Your work is at the heart of everything we do. By working together, supporting one another, and maintaining high expectations, we will continue to provide our students with the opportunities they need to succeed.
Parents and families, thank you for your continued partnership. Your involvement plays an important role in your child’s success. We encourage you to stay connected with the school, communicate with your child’s teachers and counselors, and support your student as they work toward their goals.
This year, we will continue our commitment to making Highlands High School a place students want to be. We will focus on building strong relationships, fostering a sense of belonging, supporting academic growth, and ensuring that every student has an adult in the building who knows them, supports them, and connects them to the resources they need to succeed.
We also want every student to begin thinking about their future and the many pathways available after high school. Whether your goal is college, a trade or technical program, the military, or entering the workforce, we are committed to helping you identify your strengths, explore your options, and develop a plan for your future.
Students, we encourage you to get involved! Join a club, participate in athletics, attend school events, explore new interests, and build relationships with your classmates and teachers. Some of the most meaningful lessons of high school happen outside of the traditional classroom, where you learn about teamwork, leadership, responsibility, perseverance, and community.
Most importantly, let’s continue to look out for one another. Highlands High School should be a place where every student feels safe, respected, supported, and valued. Each of us has a role in creating the kind of school community we can be proud of.
We are excited about what this school year will bring. Let’s approach each day with purpose, curiosity, and determination. Together, we will work to make this a year filled with growth, learning, opportunities, and lasting memories.
Welcome back, Golden Rams! We are looking forward to a great school year and to everything we will accomplish together.
Respectfully,
Pat Baughman, Principal
Faith Foster, Assistant Principal
